1Love, 1Home, 1Future

This is not exactly a local production, more of a work of an amateur by yours sincerely. Part of course assignment. Based on the theme of 'love' by the late Yasmin Ahmad and she is indeed a genius. And yes the very concept of 1Malaysia. Anyways, as mentioned, a work of an amateur so comment as much as you want to but non-related comments, please do keep it to yourself. Wouldn't mind criticism, I need them :) Thanks and enjoy! :D

Local productions should be appreciated before we all start going hoo-hah over other people's work. Who else to bring up the industry if we locals could not even embrace our own people work and ideas. Not only films, videos and etc in Hollywood style along with special effects that makes you go 'woahh' should be appreciated, local films that carries abundance of meaning and true culture needs your attention too. So start watching and appreciating before the industry go buh bye~

attended a talk today
(suppose to have a free day to work on assignments but had to attend it anyway)
was on devising theatre

was a little lost at the beginning of the talk
but after seeing one of their work Wayang Fajar

this is what i've been looking for :)

Mr.Azmyl is a music director
projek wayang is one of the many things that he does
together with a group of people
doing things like plays and stuff
like i said
u can go check them and other things that he is involve in from the blog add above

throughout the whole talk
we learnt what devising theatre is all about
*more excitement coming later as it will be our next assignment*
and we got to see one of their work
but there's 2 sentence that he said that really hit me

"never let any division stop you from your creative self"
"it's sad how performing arts is often viewed as something that people goes "got money 1 arr?" here"
That i totally agree
arts is something that you see, learn, be in it and appreciate
no one set the rule that arts must be something to enjoy with popcorns and coke only
its more than that

of course
while doing something that you have the passion and interest in
there must always be the realistic side of you
where there must be money flow for survival
but that doesn't mean that being in the art industry brings no money

always believe in balance
so balance it out
do something practical and things that you like at the same time
no harm done
and that is where i am today
grateful is all i am
and i still have faith in our art industry
it may not be anything now
but it will be something
it's just the matter of time
